Surrounded by rice fields, banana plantations and coconut groves, Villa Casabama is a modern three villa complex offering a total of 11 bedrooms and 3 pools. Casabama is a short walk from the sandy shores of Saba Bay, South East Bali. Each two-storey private luxury Villa is composed to offer views of the nearby ocean to the South East and the mountains to the North East.
Inspired by traditional Balinese Village clusters, Casabama villas boast elements derived from local architecture combined with original modern design, great style and detailed attention to comfort Each ultra chic Villa is fully self contained with private entrance, garage and swimming pool – yet is easily accessible via a common gate should friends be in a neighbouring villa. A well-equipped gym / yoga room at the front of the property is shared by the three villas, while between the villas and the ocean lies a beautiful, grassy, coconut grove perfect for romantic weddings and events!
The fully staffed luxury villas may be rented in any combination of the 11 bedrooms to suit the number of guests - making it the perfect venue for a retreat, wedding or anniversary celebration, family reunion, or group of friends. Or simply as an amazing getaway for a honeymoon couple or a small family excited to experience the real Bali in an unspoilt seaside location.
Although set in a charming and rural locale, Casabama is but a 15 minute drive (14 km) from Sanur, a picturesque 16 km drive from the hillside town of Ubud, 30 km from Denpasar Airport and 32 km from Seminyak. The Saba Bay Stables are close by the villas for riding enthusiasts, as are the surf breaks of Ketewel and Keramas, while the volcanic sands of Saba Bay in front are perfect for beachcombing and chatting with the locals. One can pop up the road to visit the French winemaker at Sababay Winery and choose a bottle of local wine, or watch a Balinese dance in the village of Saba - celebrated as the origin of the finest “Legong” traditional Balinese dances on Bali!
Casabama I – Villa Panjang
The 50 metre long plot of land inspired the “Long House” design of the stylish four bedroom Villa Panjang. Arranged in linear order the kitchen, breakfast bar, dining room, living room, Master Suite and Master bathroom all open on to a grove of lush tropical garden on one side, while the other overlooks the lawn and 15 meter pool. In a cool quiet location beside the Master Suite one finds the massage room.
Upstairs one arrives first at an open Study/Media room with views to Mt Agung and to the beach. Sliding glass doors preserve the view should air-conditioning be preferred. A corridor of airbricks provides dappled light and leads to the Upstairs Master Suite and two guest bedrooms (one twin), all with ensuite bathrooms.
Casabama II – Villa Panggung
Set a little higher than the other two Villas, Villa Panggung - “The Stage”- offers stunning views down the sloping garden, across the 15-metre pool, through the banana plantations and coconut palms to the beach and the ocean beyond. The three Bedrooms – all on the upper floor – take full advantage of this increasingly rare Bali vista. Bedrooms feature carefully selected artworks and fabrics from the island, presenting modern tropical comfort with a Balinese touch. The Master Bedroom boasts large bath and a private terrace affording views of the sacred mountain Gunung Agung.
Downstairs the open-sided Living and Dining Room allows the cooling sea breeze to flow through unhindered. Flanked by the Study/Media Room and guest bathroom and the Kitchen/Breakfast Bar, the dining and living areas also look through the plantations to the to the Ocean. Staff and Parking areas are located at street level.
Casabama III – Sandiwara
The four bedroom Villa Casabama III Sandiwara – “The Drama” in Indonesian - features a unique design as the upper storey of this two-storey home has been rotated so the footprint is an X shape. The resulting shaded ground floor area forms the breezy open-air living area overlooking the garden and 19 metre lap pool whilst the dining area and kitchen face the frangipani garden and pond.
One arrives at Villa Sandiwara along the Pool Deck that leads to the reception area, the enclosed Media Room and massage room. The Master Suite at Villa Sandiwara also opens on to the tropical garden at the rear and features a stunning indoor-outdoor bathroom with hewn stone bathtub.
Up the staircase one arrives to the upstairs lounge and terrace facing Gunung Agung. Two double and one twin bedroom lead off this comfortable and breezy private lounge. Each room features ensuite bathroom and beguiling view.

"
RELAX AND ENJOY THE LOVELY ARCHITECTURE
"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casabama! It is an architectural gem, each of the houses with its own unique character, modern in design but yet having traditional touches to remind you that you are in Bali.
Every morning, it was so relaxing to wake up early to see the sunrise streaming into the villa and to enjoy the great breakfast prepared by the staff. I loved especially the bubur or Indonesian porridge that was prepared with chopped vegetables; so healthy and delicious!
The pools are a lovely place to spend an afternoon, laze around, catch some sun and do nothing. The lush gardens looked magical in the evening!
The villa is in a part of Bali, where the pace is slower, where there are fewer tourists and far from the congestion and noise of Kuta; it is a place to go to unwind, relax and enjoy the lovely architecture, nature and sea.
